DGC Rarities: Volume 1 is the name of a rarities album compiled by DGC Records and released in 1994. The songs featured on this album are all B-sides, demos, covers and other rarities. Despite the title, there are no other volumes.

- Nirvana's "Pay to Play" is an early demo version of "Stay Away" from their album Nevermind.
- Sonic Youth's "Compilation Blues" is an outtake from the sessions for Experimental Jet Set, Trash and No Star.
- that dog.'s "Grunge Couple", according to the album's liner notes, is a tribute to Spinal Tap and Sonic Youth.
- Counting Crows' "Einstein on the Beach (For an Eggman)", an outtake from August and Everything After, reached #1 on Billboard's Modern Rock chart.
- The Posies' "Open Every Window" is an outtake from the early recording sessions for Frosting on the Beater.
- Sloan's "Stove/Smother" is a cover medley of two songs by Eric's Trip.
- The Sunday's "Don't Tell Your Mother", the first song the band ever recorded, was originally released as a B-side to the band's first British single, "Can't Be Sure".
